  Doctors’ Day 2025 was a momentous occasion for the Hande Hospital family. Rotary International celebrated the contributions of medical stalwarts across the state, and among the most distinguished honorees was our very own Dr. H. V. Hande —a 98-year-old freedom fighter, former Health Minister, and a pioneer in Tamil Nadu’s healthcare landscape. His decades-long service to medicine and public health continues to inspire generations of doctors and healthcare workers. During the event, the Honourable Health Minister of Tamil Nadu paid glowing tributes to Dr. Hande’s legacy. In a heartfelt and personal gesture, he also shared that he had himself undergone a successful surgery at Hande Hospital , performed by Dr. Krishna Hande .
