Dr. H.V. Hande Marks 98th Birthday with Inauguration of Advanced Surgical Centre for Microwave Ablation and Laser



Chennai, India – November 28, 2024 : A pioneer in medicine and public service, Dr. H.V. Hande's 98th birthday is being celebrated at Hande Hospitals, Shenoy Nagar. To mark the occasion The Microwave Ablation and Laser Surgery Centre, was launched by Dr. H. Krishna Hande., MS., FRCS., MCh. This centre was formally inaugurated by the renowned Padma Shri awardee, Shri Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti, in the presence of eminent dignitaries, Medical Professionals and Specialists.  


The newly established centre is a quantum leap forward in minimally invasive medical treatments. With the latest in technology, microwave ablation allows for minimally invasive, organ preserving and precise reduction of benign tumours of the Thyroid, Cancer of the Liver, Fibroid Uterus and Fibroadenoma of the Breast. It will be an important addition to the existing Laser, Cosmetic and Laparoscopic Centre at Hande Hospital where procedures such as Laser Varicose veins, Laser Piles, Laser Fissure, Laser Fistula, Laser Liposuction, Breast reduction, Hair Transplantation (FUE) Laser Kidney stone removal are already being performed. These procedures aim to reduce patient discomfort, decrease hospital stay and enhance outcomes which are consistent with the patient-centered philosophy, at Hande Hospitals.
